Good to know
A few helpful answers.
How does a remote support session work?
A support specialist explains the connection process and asks you to approve the session. Only use the connection method provided through your trusted support channel. You can end the session when needed.
Should I restart my computer first?
Save your work before restarting. A restart can help with some application issues, but avoid doing so during an update or if you suspect a security incident. If you’re unsure, ask your support team.
What if I can’t access my work account?
Use the alternative contact route agreed by your organisation. Describe any sign-in error, but never share your password or multi-factor authentication codes.
Can every issue be fixed remotely?
Many application, access and configuration issues can be investigated remotely. Hardware faults, lost connectivity or specialist systems may need an on-site visit or help from another provider.
When can I get support?
Your support agreement sets out service hours, response targets and any out-of-hours arrangements. Check your organisation’s support instructions for the appropriate route.
